WIN PROJECT
Sponsoring
The financing for WIN health centres is secured by means of a sponsorship system designed by IFPD.
Sponsorship proposals are submitted on one hand to private persons in Switzerland and abroad, and, on the other hand, to various entities – such as clubs, companies and other communities – which are willing to invest in a carefully targeted, effective and sustainable project.
The procedures developed by IFPD are as follows:
- IFPD's staff and friends contact various persons among their private and professional networks who might be interested in the WIN project and in putting together a group of people (number of persons free) willing to sponsor a health centre. Individuals wishing to sponsor a centre on their own are of course most welcome. Sponsorships by clubs, companies, etc. are discussed with the persons in charge.
- Groups/individuals/entities that accept to sponsor a health centre commit themselves for a minimum period of 3 years, in order to facilitate a sustainable development of the various services provided through the WIN project. Groups/individuals/entities wishing to withdraw their support after this period are replaced by new donors.
- Each group/individual/entity commits to contributing 6,500 CHF per year to cover the annual costs of a WIN health centre. Donations made to IFPD are tax deductible (certificate delivered on request).
- Each group/individual/entity can choose a name for the health centre he/she/it sponsors.
- IFPD provides all donors with an annual report summarising the development of the WIN project.
- IFPD serves as an intermediary between donors and the WIN management in Mumbai. The Foundation also organises project visits for donors interested in witnessing the concrete impact of their support
Sponsoring a WIN health centre represents an affordable, direct and personal way to grant women and children in the slums of Mumbai an efficient and useful support. WIN sponsorships allow donors to take well-targeted action for the benefit of an entirely concrete, perfectly identifiable and particularly cost-effective concept.
