SIGEF Conference

On October 25th, 2015, IFPD hosted an interactive panel at the Social Innovation and Global Ethics Forum (SIGEF) in Geneva. Hélène Bayeux, our Executive Director, mediated a discussion about “Women and Youth as Change Agents in Developing Countries”. After introducing the key environmental and social issues at stake in developing countries, IFPD presented concrete solutions to better address poverty through its integrated project approach. Four experts were invited to participate:

  • Hervé Gonsolin, Expert in Peace and Security at the United Nations and the EU
  • Rekha Masilamani, Secretary of the Executive Committee of IFPD’s Indian partner NGO Agragami
  • Varun Saraf, Social Entrepreneur in India and Nepal, member of the Young Advisory Committee (YAC) and of IFPD’s Board of Trustees
  • Xavier Ricard, Expert in Development Matters, Director of International Partnerships at CCFD (Comité catholique contre la faim et pour le développement)
