With the creation of the Young Advisory Committee (YAC), IFPD has decided to involve young social entrepreneurs in designing its field projects and in raising awareness among young people in developed countries on issues related to developing countries. Social entrepreneurs are central to IFPD’s strategy because their vision and actions are key to achieve a sustainable world.

The YAC is involved in:
Identifying potential synergies between IFPD projects and social business initiatives implemented by young entrepreneurs.
Raising awareness on key issues at stake in developing countries among their peers and networks in the developed world; providing information to young people on social and environmental issues to help change the mind-set in developed countries and leverage the commitment of youth to the most vulnerable.
Inspiring young people to help reduce poverty and enhance social change through the presentation of IFPD's integrated projects; provide youth with the opportunity to draft concrete projects to improve the living conditions of underprivileged communities.
