Cantagalo Slum in Rio de Jainero
At the end of the training modules, women have the opportunity to either launch their own microbusinesses or access employment in an existing business. The project thus offers two possibilities:
- Provide women who are willing to launch their own businesses with the basic skills needed to set up and manage their microenterprises, such as: how to establish a business plan, how to set up a budget, basic accountancy, how to communicate and market one’s activities, how to create a website, etc.
- For those women who do not wish to launch a business by themselves but prefer to access the job market, the project creates links with local employers.
Once the microenterprises are launched, the project provides support and inputs to the women entrepreneurs to help them develop and sustain their activities.
