In 2012, Dimitri left Belarus on his own at the age of 22. He had been studying agricultural machinery for 2 years, and, once he arrived in Switzerland, he started to train as a carpenter. In 2016, he had to return to his home country against his will due to a permit issue. He nevertheless managed to come back later the same year. He then worked in a grocery store, and subsequently switched to the world of sport.
Dimitri started his activity as a sports coach in 2017 but only with his friends and never in a formal way. He initially considered sports as a hobby but began to develop a taste for his activity, and decided to fully dedicate himself to this job. He started to train as a sports coach in 2018 at the «Martial Arts Academy» in Geneva, and obtained the FITS PRO certificate.
«My trainer saw that I was not a beginner and that I was experienced in the field of sports. I passed all my exams, I received my diploma, my certificate, and that’s all I wanted.»
Once he got his diploma, Dimitri turned to Alter Start to learn how to become independant in Switzerland. Thanks to the program, he launched his project «ActivsportRU» in Lausanne. He offers individual and group classes for adults and children as a sports coach and cross-fight trainer. He specializes in fitness, wellness, and in combat sports such as boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts (MMA). He also visits his clients at home in the Cantons of Vaud and Geneva.
